If you want your 3DTV to do more… much more, why not check out HP's new 3D laptop (which they actually call a notebook)?

Current technologies are converging at a rapid pace. For example, new TV's often have web access, and here in the UK we can watch the good old BBC on our computers using their iPlayer. So, as TV's do things PC's can do, and PC's do things TV's can do, this is an opportune moment to consider the HP Envy 17 3D laptop as your new 3DTV.

The new Envy 17 3D laptop is for sale in the UK at about £1,600, which isn't too far removed from the price of a top-end 3DTV. Of course, the laptop comes with things like Windows and other PC standards. It will also play games, including 3D ones because it comes with an ATI graphics card capable of rendering 3D signals and a pair of active shutter glasses. It's a pretty swish piece of kit.

If you'd like to find out more about this laptop, check out Slashgear's excellent review. There you'll find out how the laptop handled Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs in 3D and much more. If you're looking for one machine that has a 17.3-inch Full HD 3D display, can do all your computer tasks, watch 3D movies and play 3D games, you may like the Envy 17, a lot!
